Each year, GEYA is required by Little League International to conduct background checks on Managers, Coaches, Board of Directors members and any other persons, volunteers or hired workers, who provide regular service to the league or have contact with players.  The process of becoming a volunteer will begin by contacting the Safety Officer at [email protected] and requesting clearance to participate.  This will begin a process that will include entering your personal information into the background check website rather than providing this information to the league.  This should prevent any concerns of mishandled personal information by the league.

In addition, the State of Pennsylvania has passed new requirements for background checks for volunteers serving youth organizations.

Volunteers will now need to complete the following 4 items

  • Little League New/Returning Volunteer Form
  • PA Criminal Background Check
  • PA Child Abuse History Clearance
  • PA Affidavit of Residency

You will also need to submit a copy of your drivers license.

Please see below for the details for each of these clearances. If you have any questions please contact GEYA LL Safety Director - [email protected]

All applications submitted to GEYA are strictly confidential. The GEYA Baseball Board will review all applicants and let you know if you are chosen to coach/volunteer for the season.  Again, thank you for your interest in volunteering and for helping us with the background checks to keep our players safe!

It is preferable that all volunteer applications are submitted electronically to Safety Director at [email protected]

If you are unable to submit your forms electronically, please mail completed forms along with a copy of your drivers license to:
